3D printed furnitures
Project reflects the specific features of interiors from 3 different era: Baroque, Rococo and Biedermeier. Furnishing in boxes are copies of original objects, which were scanned and 3D printed with a addition of unique post-production techniques. Furnitures in room-boxes were selected from museum resources, then scanned and printed. Next significant step was postproduction which imitated the style of individual era in highest details, creating time travel impression. Making those kind rooms facilitates understanding and recognition of characteristic features of specific era increasing awareness as well as level of education for people visiting the museum.
The smallest details were brought into life through 3D print after beeing scanned. It was followed-up by great postproduction process, which included hand-painted ornaments creating amazing final effect. Rooms representing different eras are used as educational piece arousing interests and stimulating imagination among the youngest visitors. Project was made for Museum of Applied Arts, which is a department of National Museum in Poznan, Poland.
