Printed elements after assembling were treated with professional treatments so the finished copy could give the amazing resemblance. Making the gun replica using 3Dprint allows visitors direct interaction with history by bringing closer the weight and height of old 16th century gun.
Gun was scanned using Artec scanners catching smallest details of carvings and grooves. Combining WoodFill and PLA highlighted the details and made the post-production process easier. Key part of making the copy was inserting lead rod for showing the original weight of the gun. The weight of 5,2 kg gave authenticity to 150cm print.
